Tall, rangey and with good power in both hands. Any guy with some talent in the UK think they can get away with being slick. Bellew is more technical than most and I like how he turns his punches over. However when he steps up guys will look to break through the gaps. When that happens only then will we find out how he responds. Even if he tells us he'll have no issue, no lack of confidence etc Only in the face of fire will we see what he has. So ultimately we need him to step up in competition to see how he handles everything. It's hard to say at this stage. So far he looks as good as he can do.
To soon to tell. But I like what I'm seeing. He's my sort of fighter so I'll be cheering him on all the way!!!
So far he's answered every question thats been asked of him and done so in style. I say he looks like going all the way and its gonna be great a year or two from now when we are able to follow him around the world and cheering him on. He is in a division that gets noticed easily coz more often than not the fights end in a KO and with the right team and dedication he has world champ written all over him.
like has been already said the guy has done all he can do so far and looked great, big puncher, great finisher. just waiting to see him step up, i really think he has the goods though
Another trumped up fighter who hasn't proven himself yet.I heard the same things about Harrison as well.
Bit of a negative attitude to take. Bellew is hardly being plastered over the TV and newspapers. He is being "trumped up" by boxing fans who truly follow the sport and several fellow pros as being a great prospect. Nobody is saying he will be some HOF fighter or unite the world titles, but we are saying he looks great so far and is an exciting, talented fighter to follow. Harrison does have a good skill set but was far more hyped due to winning Olympic Gold and signing with the BBC. However he looked nothing like as impressive in his first 10 fights as Bellew has so far.
To be fair he has beat everyone in front of him and beat them easy, even if only "stopped" Ellis without hurting him :yep
Early days yet but I like him. Beaten everyone well and looked good doing so. We will no more next year but the guy is super talented
