It took him 12 rounds to realize that he couldn't outfight Jose Luis Castillo. How did he adapt? He ran and flicked out punches and ran the clock down and stunk the place out in the rematch. ATG adaptability I don't think.
So one bad performance means he can't adapt at all when he was successful in making the majority of his fights look easy? Are you really that ****ing stupid?
And you think that adapting to and beating the standard of opposition he has fought means he has great adaptability??? You are really that ****ing stupid. Why is it an achievement to adapt to Zab Judah, when every top fighter that Judah has fought has kicked his ass? '****.
Floyd style against Castillo was the same as it was in the 2nd fight. Only difference is he wasnt injured. Best believe that Floyd would never get his ass kicked twice by the same fighter, like the guy in your avatar.
Seen what fights? Pacquiao getting his ass beat twice by Marquez? Or Mayweather winning a close decision against Castillo then beating him decisively in the rematch?
1. Exactly. He is accutely tuned into movements and thinks first to avoid. So, someone who feints well can get to him. 2. Disagreed. This is one of the biggest myths around, I believe. Oscar got tentative late in the fight when he'd been countered and figured out early. Floyd took Oscar's jab away from him.
Floyd fought fairly flat-footed against Judah and adopted a pressure style because Zab was faster than he was - he changed up his style to give Judah problems, but most of that in the video wasn't ad******g, it's just good sense fighting a southpaw. He used a right hand lead because southpaws are generally vulnerable to it and Judah particularly so with his low guard. The reason to use the lead right is because the southpaw will often use a hook or raise their guard to protect from a follow up left hook. Floyd went to the body instead - excellent punch selection, but not really an adjustment.
No, the jab does disrupt Mayweather, but Oscar gassed AND got caught with Floyd's back against the ropes. He certainly wasn't dominant in that fight.
I've seen lots, and lots, and LOTS of **** talked about Floyd Mayweather Jr. on this site. I've seen people clown his looks, his big mouth, his arrogance, him perceived ducking, but I tell you one thing I NEVER see, and that's someone deny the man's skills. Mayweather is an immensely talented fighter, one of the greatest pure boxers who has ever laced up. The video was a good observation, albeit a bit over-zealous...Mayweather didn't adjust as much as Judah fell apart, but he DID adjust...just not as much as people think he HAD to...
Mayweather fought differently in the first Castillo fight to the second. Have you seen those fights or haven't you?
Says the guy who lies about being real objective, but can't even accept that a boxer is very adaptable. You're letting your emotions get in the way of your logic and reasoning. Good to see that you're acting like a woman.:good
