Floyd is definitely fast, but not on the lines of a Donald Curry, or Meldrick Taylor-type speed.

Floyd at 130 is way faster than 147lb Floyd, not the fastest but his punches are very straight, well timed and he covers distance with them. Being fast over 6 inches in a flury doesn't really count

I and Thin Black are having a go.

Also, I was late to the thread but if I would guess that Addies girlfriend looks a little something like Winona would I be right?

He's the second fastest... Second fastest Mayweather.

Floyd Sr. should be in the discussion in Jr's place.

Roy Jones is flat out ridiculous fast.

People often just factor in hand speed as "speed". Floyd is extremely fast overall. His timing, feints, upperbody movement, counters, reaction, handspeed, and footspeed. Many fighters only got one or two area which they are fast at whilest Floyd is fast in all area which when you put it all together he is blinding. Also a lot of fighters shoe shine and put 1-2 repeatly. Floyd doesn't shoe shine and his combos are hard to predict.
Below is a short clip that displays his speed.

Floyd is fast but not what I'd call amazingly so.

He is more to with reactions, his timing is what makes it look so quick, he can beat anyone in his division to the punch but looks much quicker because he sees the shots coming and gets in there first.

I think at this point his athletic skills are miles behind his sfw days and he is now more about technique. His defence requires little movement, his feet no longer bounce and he sits down more on his punches to make them worthwhile.

When he throws he lands and when he lands he hurts.

This incarnation of Floyd is good enough to dominate this division but he doesn't look great any more, just better than the man he shares a ring with.
