The 1980 version of Ali against Joshua. How long it takes to Joshua KO that Ali?

I don't want to see it or even talk about it. One of the saddest sights you could see was that fantastic man taking blows in a fight he should never have been allowed to take part in.

Don't really want to know the answer, but if Holmes couldn't KO him then Ali would probably quit on his stool for Joshua as well.

1978 Ali that beat Spinks would give Joshua fits, if its in the States he might even get a decision.

Probably not long. Holmes hurt you with accuracy but Joshua,s such a powerful unit he,d get the job done quicker. There's no comparison between prime Ali v a shell of that version of him tho. Age beats us all...especially more so in boxing/hard careers. Joshua seems to excel against guys that don't have athletic attributes. Ali never really had any at that stage of his career.

Yup. Larry was begging the ref to stop that one. He didn't want to hurt Muhammad any more

Really this is a ludicrous Thread....
Ali should have retired after the last Frazier fight. He was showing signs of illness even before then. His doctor Ferdy Pacheco saw this & said " If you carry on fighting I cannot bear to be party to it"
In his prime Joshua, Wilder nor Fury could,'t live with him No one could. If Larry Holmes really idolized Ali as he said he would never have taken that fight he knew he wasn't facing Muhammad Ali

Just curious, why the heck are you speculating over such an esoteric fight? Ali? 38? Prime AJ? Huh?

Gee, I wonder how Pac at age 2 would do against, oh, I don't know, how about, Floyd at age 6? Who would win that one?

I agree, but feck it, Joshua pulverizes Ali in 2/3 rounds. Could come out and do it in 1 if he wants

Never quite fully agreed with the general analysis from fans about that fight and Holmes holding back because he didn't want to hurt his idol, he beat the living **** out of him, some of the hooks to body and head were as hard and as fast and as repetitive as Larry could throw. He always looked to the ref to stop fights that the fighter had no chance of winning, which is a good trait, but he afforded Ali no special treatment that he didn't do to others throughout his career. In short, he did Ali no favours imo
