How frightening of a beating would Floyd have given Oscar if the rematch happened?

If Oscar was in his prime, he might be the one giving the beating.

I think Floyd would've handled oscar much easier in a rematch compared to their first go around.

I say this because as far as boxing intelligence goes, Floyd might have one of the highest in ring IQ's of all time. I'd imagine he would review tape of their first fight and make the necessary tweaks/adjustments to ensure he cruised to a wide UD.

I'm honestly glad the rematch didn't happen. I thought Floyd kind of had an off night in that fight but still won very clearly/comfortably around 8-4. Anytime oscar had him pinned on the ropes and attempted to throw flurries, the majority of his shots were deflected by mayweather's elbows/gloves. Floyd put in the better work in that fight, landed his right lead very crisply throughout and exhibited good ring generalship especially when they were in the center of the ring.

I'd imagine he would've given him a bigger boxing lesson if a rematch occurred but I don't believe he'd give a beatdown to Oscar at JMW (or any top flight JMW for that matter.)

Floyd Is fighting in his 5th weight class right now so it's not pragmatic to think he could beat on guys in the same manner as he used to do to his opponents between 130-140. I'd be very suspicious of his training regimen if he was still knocking down guys left and right at WW OR JMW in the same manner he did at SFW.

It's essentially asking why doesn't Ray Robinson or Ray Leonard knock guys out cleanly at LHW? It's so silly to assume anyone would carry big time power through 5 weight classes.

 

I honestly think you may have an obsessive mental disorder when it comes to Pac and Floyd, I'd seriously think about seeing a shrink.

I don't know, its hard to tell but I think he would win this time in convincing way, perhaps even by UD something like 8-4.

 

I can't say, I don't think it would have been a worse beating. The only thing I see is that it would be a wider UD. Floyd would most likely capitalize on oscar's typical last second fury.
