It wouldn't be funny at all for Floyd, but for Ortiz it would be great because he would be the first to ever do it. That's something that no boxer within his generation can take from him.
If this happens, Victor is the new face of boxing after Manny and Mayweather. Boxing's got a new cashcow and he can help bring more fighters into the limelight (Khan, Canelo, etc...). I'm a Mayweather fan but honestly I think the future of boxing will be better off with an Ortiz win. If Mayweather wins decisively then Mayweather and Pac fight, or they don't, then there's no boxing superstar and it'll be years before any other fighter can even dream of bringing in 1 mil. PPV buys.
Don't really know who to root for in this fight......I still want Pac to be the one to stick that dagger into all them *****s heart.
I'd honestly be a little disappointed. To me it would just mean the torch is being "passed on" without the fight we really wanted to see. Many people just want to see Floyd lose, but I wanted to see the top 2 P4P go at it; they've created a sort of rivalry, and for either to stumble now would be a shame.
