Seriously, going toe to toe on a boxing level with one of if not the most skilled guy in the sport? Many people including myself viewed him as underappreciated technically but clearly flawed, I think that's actually an understatement, Kovalev is actually just a superb boxer.
Kovalev is definitely a great boxer, but his power did carry him quite a lot. Even though Kov boxed with Ward, his jabs were hurting Ward. Kovalev's power is scarier than I thought or Ward just can't take punches well at 175.
