It's kind of a contrast, but Blocky, CHJ and others of this type entertain me more than anybody else. People found Dorfmeister's dry humour entertaining, but I put him in the same category as Bobo Olson, I get it, but I don't find it humorous.

For me, I need something a little more in the extreme and those two provide that for me. Along with the occassional ridiculous nuthugger before they wear out, I still kind of like Bigtime9's horse**** for a laugh and we ought to use him for it when he's around.

Do you remember CHJ's famous graph's to try to teach people about Calzaghe?:rofl

And then that recent thread citing boxing knowledge as the problem...:rofl

Ive gotten too many wrong recently to be a 9, and I don't have universal appeal, many posters think I'm just full of **** here, but in fairness they are the opposition to my rating system and don't like it when I bring reality on their little hype jobs.

Extremists are also skewed, and an extremist I am.

    Indeed.

Also explain to me why I am not sold on Dawson at all. He seem's pretty much there to be hit, for whatever reason I am not sold on him at all....:think

Dawson is a vulnerable fighter, but he's also still a top fighter. I'd give him a solid A rating, Glen Johnson was a just a horrible style for him and in fairness, he's been trouble for a lot of guys that aren't named Bernard Hopkins(all of them actually:lol: )and despite being 39, Glen was ON that night.

He looked great, and of course you can say that it was because of Dawson, but just pay attention to Johnson alone, still had the tremendous workrate, still was reasonably fast, still could take a hell of a punch and was sitting down on his shots and his shots had snap in them too, he was digging to win that fight likely for his family.

Dawson won, cleanly, just nearly got put down.

Dawson's inside game and defence need work for sure, but Johnson is the type to pray on those vulnerabilities, the typical boxer or slower fighter will get eaten alive by his sharp shooting. One thing I can say to back this up, is look how accurate Dawson is, great timing and his speed delivery is top notch... MOST fighters would have been backed off, just not Johnson, an ATG chin no doubt.

Calzaghe will even have all he can handle against Dawson if they fought, I'd favour Joe, but Dawson's going to make it hard.

I'm not sold on him being a P4P, but I am sold that he's a top fighter, definitely.

To pick ****ing Kelly Pavlik over Dawson is just nothing more than being personally disgusted with Dawson and trying to make him look bad.

There is a website that judges fights, and I am currently atop the rankings over there. With that, I think I'm somewhere between a five and a six. I usually go with my heart too much, or think of an unlikely outcome as happening. As in, Gatti KO'ing Mayweather. I knew in my heart that wouldn't happen, but I wanted to see it. So, I'd say somewhere in the middle.

:think I think Pavlik would KO Dawson actually given time to build up I just think that if and when Pavlik connects with a right even if he is being outboxed then Dawson would be on qweer street and would get stopped. Even if Dawson would outbox him at times.

I may need to go and watch more Dawson fights. I just think that he is there to be taken out by a fighter with a good right hand. Kessler would do Dawson in for example.

    Hmmmm.....

May need to analyse Chad a bit more.

    6. better than most of the nutjobs on here which isnt saying much. even if u get it wrong u should use facts and reasoning to back up your claims. too many just make delusional statements without any reasoning. it can really ruin a good debate

Pavlik is indeed the same guy whom Miranda, Zertuche and Taylor had no problem landing on....

That's something that surprises me about some people on this site that I consider to be pretty Knowledgeable; I see them picking people like Hopkins, Wright, and Mayweather to get stopped. I'm sorry, but I would never pick any of those guys to get stopped. It could happen, but the chances of it happening are so slim that I would never dare to predict it.

I definately pick Dawson over Pavlik, I don't know why so many people pick Pavlik in that matchup. I don't think Kessler matches up well with a guy like Dawson.

    Indeed.

However, I recon that Dawson's chin to power ratio is worse... much worse than Pavliks actually and Dawson would not be afraid to mix it up and I see him getting caught, Dawson seems uncomfortably easy to land on.

Dawson seems good, very good offensivly. His defence against right hands leaves so much to be desired....

Rational argument may be needed to cure me from my current state of mind.
