How good a boxing analyst are you, out of 10?

Everybody gets a few wrong here and there. The fact that he picked Donaire over Darchinyan balances it out and probably makes him worthy of a 9 or a 10:yep

 

Kessler would chew Dawson up and spit him out with his timing and speed(something Pavlik lacks).

Difference between a well schooled elite boxer like Kessler and a rough around the edges pressuring boxer-puncher like Pavlik, whom has chin vulnerabilities on top of it.

I'd give myself a 7. I'd say the top analysts are Dorfmeister and Sues2nd. I'd just give Dorfmeister the edge for his captivating writing style.

 

PacDBest is ridiculous. He picked Donaire over the overrated Darchinyan(and I'd been saying that for some time prior) and since then he thinks his **** don't stink. I guess he expects everyone to conveniently forget the rest of his picks, especially at those for upsets, and how terribly off he was.

 

I just can't see Cotto taking out Margarito in 5 rounds. That fight looks lilke it's going 12 to me. I don't remember Williams or Clottey stunning Margo. Cotto should win a wide decision in this one. I'll be surprised if he stops Margo, I'll be stunned if he gets him out in 5 or less. As far as Williams against Quintana, Quintana fought a great fight and Williams looked awful. Despite this, I had Quintana winning 115-113. I though the fight was still up for grabs in the 11th. I gotta go with El Indio in the rematch, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the Punisher come out on top.

 

I've always found Dorfmeister a little difficult to understand, even in his analytic posts. He's tough to argue with, not because he gives you little to work with like KG, but because he misses the main point you're trying to get across.

7 when I am on.....6 when I am being hasty. I still have a lot to learn about the little things that might effect a fight. Others here still see things I don't.
