I think a prime Tyson beats a prime Holyfield. The late 80's version of Mike would have overwhelmed the Holyfield that fought Douglas or Foreman or Cooper. Holyfield would have made it a fight, but I think prime Tyson knocks Holyfield cold!

it was like watching godzilla vs king kong to me.. two massive, muscular warriors going hell for leather at eachother for as long as they could.. i thought it had everything a heavyweight championship fight should have..

There was a lot of hugging. Personally, when putting it in my collection, I just went for the highlights: Rounds 1,2, 6, 10 and 11 (if memory serves). The rest of the match was like watching WWF or UFC - 2 big beefy shirtless guys slow dancing. Not my scene.

I was at ringside that night, there was a lot of mass hysteria of how Tyson would make such a mess of Evander that when Holyfield started to edge his way into the fight , everyone was so shocked it made the event more memorable.. It was a very good fight and at the time live i remember thinking , anything can happen at any time in this fight , there were a few shifts and changes in tides of the way the match was going , but we could all see where it was ending up from 5 onwards, Evander looked too primed to do a job and Mike looked quite clueless and vaccant in certain rounds.. The best thing for me was the fact we had one of the finest cards in History, Akinwande v Zolkin WBO heavy..... Moorer v Botha IBF Heavy....... Holyfield v Tyson .. WBC & WBA Heavyweight.... Also Ricardo Lopez defending his fly weight title for 17th time and Bethany Payne v Chrisy Martin Womans feature attraction and Scott Welsch v Daniel Netto for WBO Eliminator Heavyweights.......... Great Event.................

We saw a similar thing in the Chavez-Whitaker match.
