His career looks a bit patchy but with some great wins.what was he like in his day ? Obviously decent with his world titles in 4 different classes although a couple where minor titles

To be fair being beaten by jcc twice in his prime isn't all that embarrassing.i've not seen the fight but it seems by the score he was quite competitive with pernell Whittaker
Very good. Excellent power, above-average defense, could infight and outbox; he just didn't have iron whiskers (though glass is harsh) and his style was too offense-based to never pay for that. He was a two-division champion, beat some good names in non-title bouts, and there's no shame in losing to most of the guys he lost to.
