The fact you don't notice it means it's VERY good.

This is your 18th Mayweather thread in 6 hours. Release Floyd's foreskin from your mouth before Ellerbe ****s you up something awful.

his feints are subtle. you don't want exaggerated and noticeable feints, or you'll give yourself away. the best actors make it look natural

that hook he knocked Marquez down with was setup by a feint

He feinted with the right hand the moment he knocked Hatton into the ring post with a left hook.

I thought he left openings more than used feints. Bate and catch is what I always seem to see. Give you the punch so he knows what you are going to throw.

Floyd does not really feint as much. A good feint is not a question of subtle or obvious. It is a question that you can't differentiate between the real thing.

A subtle feint is an idiotic concept.

He pokes and prods his opponents. He leaves "opening" that is really just traps for over the top counters and pull counters.

A subtle feint can trigger a response, as it looks like an attempt for a punch.

Floyd doesn't use them as often as other fighters might, but he regularly employs them to great effect, particularly with his left hand after establishing a jab to the body.

Oscar would fall for it and believe a jab was coming when Floyd mounted weight onto his lead foot. Oscar reacted by slipping his head to the left only to have Floyd loop the lead shot into a leaping hook.

Again, a good feint does not have to be subtle or obvious. It is a question of "selling" the move. It is like acting it can be over the top (Denzel in Training Day) or subtle (Ray Winstone in Sexy Beast). Saying all subtle feints are good feints is silly.

But I agree, he has so many tools that a lot of his opponents does not know what he will use anyway.

Well congrats to the thread starter. Youve successfully got a bunch of idiots trying to explain what a feint is.

He uses feints a lot to setup his left hooks, but that's about it. He's a defensive fighter. Feinting is used to create openings, and Floyd isnt all that offensive.
