How good/bad was Ali's footwork?

This thread should be followed up with a "How lousy was Marciano's power?" thread.

 

Well, I think Bokaj wanted to know if there were any flaws in terms of Ali's footwork, and in that regard, the fact that he sometimes moved straight back might have been a glaring flaw that could be exploited- had Ali not been so incredibly gifted in terms of raw speed and ring awareness.

But, flaws notwithstanding, Ali's footwork was superb...just like Marciano's power.
