Well she won all her fight and unusually for a girl most were by stoppage. However i don`t know enough about the calibre of the girls she was fighting to offer a serious opinion
I believe Laila Ali was better, in her prime, than any female fighter in history, including the current crop of women.
Very talented, which makes sense considering her gene pool. I don't believe the calibre of girls she was fighting was enough to test her at all, maybe wouldn't go undefeated with tougher competition.
I heard she ducked Ann Wolfe but I can't really comment on it as I don't know much about female boxing.
Hard to know how good she really was because she was so much better than the others in her era. Like putting a legit contender in a string of fights against no-hopers and watching him tear through them, hard to tell what would happen if that contender fought a champ based off their fights with the no-hopers.
It was always some sort of excuse for why the fight couldn't happen. It was a real shame because Wolfe was probably the only female boxer her size who could've really pushed Laila to her limits. I suspect Laila just didn't want to ruin her undefeated streak.
Honestly her two biggest wins are Frazier's daughter and an older smaller Christy Martin. The rest are women who you find at the local Planet Fitness.
