.......he had n't have suffered hand injuries and 'out of the ring' distractions ? John was one of Britain's most talented boxers ever and he had the potential,in my opinion,to have become one of the greats right up there with the likes of Conn,Foster and Spinks. Thoughts ?
Heard John was a bit of a party animal, but I don't know enough to cast an opinion on how bad it was. Nevertheless, he was a smooth boxer and a terrific fighter as well. Real tough fellow in a tough era and had a brilliant mean streak in him too. On top of that, his Ali imitation when they met is beyond priceless. One of my favorites in my favorite era
