I couldn’t find myself agreeing with a lot of what O’Grady was saying, tbh. Although, I could see why the fight might have been seen as close-ish.

All those years getting picked on for being gay turned him dangerous. But then BEING gay turned him... Lethal. Irony.

People forget that Parks was still very young when he faced Johnson and Johnson was a very good boxer who dropped Toney and beat Collins.
Problem with Parks was his defense which was very suspect.
Had a boxer from my gym fight him - Percy Harris and Harris was winning the bout until getting stopped in the last round.
Parks could punch but Roy would have been too much for him to handle and GMAN had better skills as well.
But Parks certainly had the power to take them out.

May I ask what little red book you are a devotee of?

Listen to him talk. Poor kid never had a chance.... until he learned to let his hands go. Then you bet everyone was offering him Newports.

As long as he was teachable, that could be overcome.

Marquez didn't end Pacquiao's career w/ the first rd. KO. Even old dogs can learn new tricks.

He got hit too much to face someone like the G Man.
Reggie Johnson beat him and it was really close at all.
Jones was in another class then Lamar.
