On the Tyson thing it's pretty much equal to saying Calzaghe beat Roy Jones (if not worse). It really was a fight that should not have happened - but Tyson needed the money, and Lewis the name.

I watched the Morrison fight again about a month or so ago. Lewis totally outclassed him.

Were these opponents really that great? Holyfield past his best - Tua big puncher but has never even held a HW title - Rahman made his name purely from knocking out Lewis (great revenge match from Lewis though - brutal KO). Are Golota and Ruddock really that great? Admittedly Lewis did an excellent Job on them.

dont have time to get into great detail but i think it is very impressive he beat the men who beat him and i think that is better then never losing it showed he had heart and determantion

Yes, but how good that is depends upon who was available doesn't it.

If i remember rightly (and I can't be bothered to look it up!) Ruddock fought Tyson twice and went 12 and 8 rounds with him. Golota had been beating Bowe pretty well until he got himself disqualified. At the time they seemed pretty big names to me!

I don't think Lewis fought in a weak division but didn't fight the best two opponents - Bowe and especially Tyson (pre washed up). Not his fault, but thats how it is.

A rematch would have been fair but Lewis was obviously fading by that point.

Golata was hot stuff after the Bowe fights no doubt but in hindsight is he really that good. Ruddock, and Golata are certainly not even close to being elite heavies.

Lewis did dispatch of them in style though.

Alexander, why are the Klitschko and Mercer fights bad fights for his resume? I actually think both are good wins, particularly the VK win.
