c'mon now ya'll gotta remember JMM aint exactly young....gotta give the guy props for being able to tangle with the baddest man on the planet on an even platform i thought JMM one the 1st fight by a pretty wide margin, but Pac's similar to Cotto....lemme change that Cotto's similar to Pac, his technique and boxing ability just get better with every fight, and JMM aint gettin no younger, so yeah i dont see JMM beating Pac even if they fight again plus i thought Pac won the second fought (by 1 round if i remember)
Why are people shitting over the Chris John fight? A fight many felt JMM won, against a guy who is STILL undefeated? Better fighters have worse losses on their resume. JMM after that fight arguably beat Pac again, beat Barrera, Juarez, Casamayor. All great fighters at the top of their divisions.
Got to agree with Monstar. I thought JMM went 1-0-1 with Pac but the fights where so close you could argue either way. For the record quality avatar mate:good
It makes him look damn good when you consider that fight could have been a draw earlier this year and that JMM is 35, the same age as Oscar. If they are going to put Pacman as #1 p4p then you better not have JMM down at #5 when their fights have been so close. That just goes to show how much of p4p lists are popularity contests.
JMM is a great fighter..and yes it does prove it more that PAC has dismantled DLH. Every once in a while every fighter has his match and these two are ying and yang. Although i'd love to see this fight at 140. Pac have carried his speed and is more sturdy at this weight. A reasonable observation. Legacy - PAc is a Legend H2H - toss up
We knew Marquez was a great fighter even before this. When I saw him get up and furiously fight back after being floored three times in the first round against Pac, years ago...well, you don't find heart/grit like that very often.
Couldn't have said it better. This I think improves JMM stock one way or another. You don't get to 2 extremely close fights with the P4P best and modern day legend without being damn good yourself. Frankly after tonight, I appreciated JMM even more and realized how great he truly is. They are indeed Yin and Yang.
since jmm did have a close fight with pacquiao the pac win yesterday would really make him good. of course he did not beat pacquiao but by giving him two very tough fights, one against a very good version of pacquiao, he deserves to be the p4p#2.
jmm is a great fighter. pacquiao's win over oscar would reflect greatly on him just like jmm's victory over casamayor will reflect on pac. a fighter can look good even if he is not fighting.
JMM is pure class, he may have a 0-1-1 down as the offical record against PAC, but deep down everyone knows JMM has not lost to PAC and argueably won both fights.
Always thought JMM is damm good...IMO the best technician in the game outside Mayweather but even then, I would rate his offense better than PBF. However I still think Pac is the better fighter, JMM holds a style advantage over Pac.
