Really? I don't really remember much booth has said in the way of other fighters, except for his argument with Bernt Boente

He also got Haye some ridiculous paydays

The best way to deal with a counter puncher is feinting, a normal jab would be followed by a slip and a counter punch, if you only feint the jab, you force them to slip, and slip, and slip and you catch them off guard when you actually do throw it, you also limit the counter punching oppertunities (hence Haye's low output)

Wlad had a jab that he threw out half way, stopped it, feinted it, and then finally threw it

Combine this with Haye's poor balance and it worked beautifully, Wlad implemented it to a T

Good to see a post like this in the General forum once in a while, spot on analysis.

And I think Booth has proven to be a good trainer with a certain type of fighter with certain attributes that fit into his style, namely Haye and Groves. You can't put him up there with the best trainers in the world until he shows a bit more versatility as a trainer though, when Groves gets to world level (assuming he does) I think we'll get a more complete picture of how good Booth is.

He couldn't ****ing prepare Haye to beat the cowardly, glassjawed Wladimir. That tells you everything about him.
