Ok, he hasnt fought anyone of note yet. Kotelnik and Barrera were the two biggest names, but they are not the best oppo out there. But look at what Amir has going for him...

    The worlds best coach
    The worlds best sparring partner
    Big reach
    big frame
    Speed
    Power

How far can he go? Is his defence good enough? Or will it make him fall short of a becomming an elite champion?

He looks to be a good fighter, but there's a few others in his age group like Maidana and Ortiz that will contend with him in the future.

I like so far what I see of Khan, and will be interested to see how far Roach will develop him. He has the body that can take him through multiple divisions, handspeed that rivals the worlds best, a decent pop in his punches, and a good barrel of energy and workrate to complement.

However, question marks still remain over his chin and defence. The above attributes can take him very far, but he will always be hampered if the holes in his game are not fixed. Which makes you think, God had a sense of humour when he made Khan, He gives him all the wonderful attributes a boxer would dream of, but provides him with a hopeless chin. He may very well be lacking that one little attribute that can make him great.

Against Kotelnik I saw some habits of Khan which I didn't particularly like, and wondered to myself how horrible would it be if that was Maidana or Ortiz launching them attacks. He hunched and blinded himself behind them big ass gloves when protecting himself, and had no sense of ring generalship.

So in his following matchup and his first defence of his new title, I was hoping to see a good 8-12 rounds of the updated version of Khan. Unfortunately, Salita only lasted 72 seconds, still leaving those serious questions about his defence begging to be answered.

i think he recovered good from the prescott fight.. and he looked good since

the kotelnik win was underated imo.. remember he had a tremendous close battle with maidana, the same maidana who beat the **** out of ortiz and is now very highly regarded

I think he'll be a 2 weight champ. I think he has a chance to become undisputed at 140 if he beats the winner of Bradley vs Peterson and Marcos Maidana.
