He is mostly known for his social media now a days but he was actually sick kick boxer back in the day. So how highly would you rate his ability as a kick boxer?

He was never an elite kickboxer, he was above average but not elite, he never competed in K1 or Glory but did compete in Enfusion where a lot of talents from Glory have come from and that's one of the World Championships he won which I believe was the under 90kg belt, he also won a few ISKA belts which is more old school full contact compared to the K1 style. He's competed anywhere from 80kg-93kg from what I've seen and had a few fights in MMA too at amateur, semi pro and pro.

He was not on the level of guys like Gokhan Saki, Tyrone Spong or Alex Pereira who I have no doubt all of them would have knocked him out but he could bang and was fast, he has a tendency to leave his chin in the air and relies on reflexes for defense and uses side kicks and doesn't kick below the waist much which is probably due to his full contact background. It's hard to find his full record due to Kickboxing/Muay Thai not being as committed as boxing when it comes to record keeping which is a real shame, they also tend to have more fights than boxers and are not always recorded so it's much harder to keep track of than boxing. While he wasn't elite he can definitely fight and isn't a man to be messed with as many just seem to think he's some troll, he stated in a video way back in 2009 that he doesn't like Kickboxing but likes to challenge himself and if he made enough money he would stop fighting which makes sense seeing as he's only had three fights since 2016 and they were against lesser skilled opposition. His brother Tristan was also an ISKA Champion too.

Here are some fights at his best, all these fights are 10+ years old:

Here are two of his fights in his semi retirement against way lesser skilled opponents, they are not real good indicators of how good Tate is but I doubt he trained much for these:

I'm not going to lie, he looks average to me. Do I think he's actually average... obviously not, his record speaks for itself, but just going by looks I've never been impressed with him. Just going by looks I think most fight gyms have a fighter or two better than him, but again, that's just based off looks... obviously he's doing something effective that overrides the eye test lol.

Yes, he is good but not an extraordinary fighter. He claims to have a kickboxing record of 43-9, with 1-0 records in both amateur and professional MMA. Some controversies happened which affects his career. He is not something elite-class player but he’s good.
