IMO he's about even with Adrian Diaconu.....Diaconu-Shumenov would be a war!

Any fights involving those two plus Cloud, Cleverly would be FOTY potential. Hope some of those get made.

    Cloud - Diaconu

    Shumenov - Cleverly

    Similar heights.

I just hope Diaconu returns to the ferocity he had against Rico Hoye. Diaconu that night displayed some "Tysonlike" ferocity:fire

I saw him live against Uzelkov and man, he hit so hard. Every time he landed a punch on Uzelkov it sounded like a giant thud. The knockdown punch was insanely loud, like a gunshot. I am probably exaggerating, but I remember being a little overwhelmed at first by the violence (was my live event).

He's a good fighter, and should only get better as he's now focusing entirely on fighting. I think his ambition got the best of him before, fighting halfway across the world routinely at the pace he was while promoting himself. That kind of load is bound to catch up with anyone.

Give the guy credit, though. Campillo beat him and even though Shu got the robbery decision, he did the smart thing - he treated that fight as a loss, knew he had to make changes in his preparation, and did it. Now, I'm fairly certain he's based out of Vegas exclusively and took on a co-promoter to handle the marketing and staging of his fights so he can focus 100% on training.

We'll find out come Shumenov-Campillo III how much those moves have helped him, but I expect a significantly better fighter than the one that Campillo handled with relative ease in their second match.

I love the kind of ambition he's showing.

He's a decent LHW, he would lose to the likes of Dawson, Pascal, Cleverly, Erdei, and Campillo again.

I love watching him fight. thought he lost in the 2nd Shumenov fight. throws mad punches, puts everything behind them and is always great for a war but telegraphs his punches so obvious that he's a sitting duck for any slick counter punchers. top 10 lightheavyweight but loses to the very top
