As far as I'm aware he's never been down once in god knows how many amateur fights, starting off at whatever much lower weight he began competing at all the way up to HW. He campaigned at the elite level for years at LHW and HW against the best amateurs in the world. The only time I've seen him hurt was when he was rocked and briefly hurt in the Russian nationals, but that was his first tournament competing up at HW and he was facing naturally bigger men. And don't forget that his style is a very aggressive seek and destroy one where he puts himself in the danger zone and gets hit. The Jeff Page KD was a bogus off balance KD, IMO.
agree with his, iirc Page pushed him righ before he punched him. im leaning towards ¨pretty good¨ chin
There's no reason so far to believe his whiskers are anything other than stout. Like I said, the fact that he competed at the highest level at LHW and for a lesser amount of time up HW against the world's elite and fights with such an aggressive seek and destroy style and no one can find any footage of him being floored, let alone knocked out supports that. I can't remember what his amateur record is but I think it's in excess of 300 fights.
You can see he's not accustomed to get dropped in the Page fight, he got ****ing ****ed off that he got knocked down, as soon as he was back on his feet he was swinging wildly trying to behead Page and got the KO W quickly
All of this. He ate Usyk's shots without backing up, well most of the time. And for those who know Usyk.....
He was walking the naturally bigger Usyk down. Usyk was the one who was intimidated by his power not the other way round.
