Weak, but can cause problems. I'd love to see him and Whyte go at it. Miller batters him in Boxing and Kickboxing.
He was high volume like Kownacki but most of that was just due to him being a walking pharmaceutical commercial. Can't really tell man's skill until he's tested but Miller was getting a shot at Joshua's titles someone thought he was ok.
Average until proven decent. So below Chisora level. Mind boggling how he almost got a shot at unified titles before he popped dirty.
Personally I thought he sucked. There was a reason why Joshua picked him for the US debut, he was a guy with a nice looking record over weak comp who would get blasted out. People talked about how big he was and how he'd just keep coming, but he was crude and he didn't even hit that hard, more of a accumulation puncher, despite his size. I think at best he was maybe top 20 maybe top 15 level, definitely not top 10.
That someone was Hearn who promoted his last 4 fight in the US and basically kept dangling a possible AJ fight for him to keep him onside while he padded Miller's record, so AJ would have an easy but presentable opponent for Joshua US debut.
That plus he had a huge mouth on him. The only thing more entertaining than a KO waiting to happen is a KO you can't wait to see and know is coming... This isn't my preference, but it sells (see Fury-Wilder 3)
As above. He was a New Yorker, a good talker who could promote a fight. It was at the MSG. And obviously it was a good fit, as they broke ticket sales records
He was a big tough sob with a relatively high workrate who never took a step back. A bit like Kownacki but even bigger and less crude. I disagree he was a light puncher; he had some power on him but it tended to be spent by around the third round where he'd just resort to arm punching while smothering you up close. His defence was practically non-existent, but he was so huge that the punches seemed to bounce off him. Probably a very mentally and physically taxing fighter to have to deal with. Trouble is, like Kownacki, so much of his style hinged around his neverending ability to take punishment and keep coming. While his chin was pretty good, I doubt it would have survived against the biggest punchers in the division so he most likely would have been found out sooner or later. Joshua I think would have flattened him.
Without PEDS probably terrible. His thing is that he is a big boy who throws a lot of punches, but that was probably due to taking the Lance Armstrong PED for stamina. He's getting another chance so he can prove me wrong. But it just isn't natural for a guy that fat and unconditioned to have that kind of stamina.
