I think Thaxton would have a puncher's chance with the beltholders at 135, but clearly not the elite guys like JMM and Pac, who would make him look silly before blasting him out. Having not seen the first fight...... perhaps he feels that he could do something by starting faster, I don't know. It may work in his favour copping a beating from Romanov - Warren may feel he (Jono) is shot and therefore qualifies as an opponent for Amir.
A punchers chance against Nate Campbell? Really...? Nate would tear his ass up something horrible. That guy throws about a million punches a round and he's dynamite in the pocket.
regarding the original question( i got as far as Ishys post ) He held the ring, he did not waste his shots, he threw various combos and single shots, was cute and tight, example....single straight rights to body. If i was a fighter or a coach i would of been very happy with the first two rounds,i didnt check the guys record. They mean nothing really as Khan found out also or should i say "did" Within the first round the Cuban had already dropped his hands. Prescott was sharp enough for the first couple of rounds. As said, i would be happy with that. Wasnt Prescott managed by Warren after the Khan fight, hardly his fault he didnt build on that win. Khan looke dawesome in his last fight, regardless of opponent, i should add. Hairy :good
Is Romanov actually going to take the European title shot? That is the question. The EBU can call for purse bids, but Romanov has already said he's moving on from Europe. What is the point vacating the title, then challenging the guy who picked up the vacant belt. A man he already beat, in Thaxton... Unless Yuri can't get any other fights...
presscots a **** fighter trust me, he'll get found out real soon his only saving grace is that hes a lanky fighter with a bit of pop but thats not going to save him against any 1 in the the bottom half of the top 10
