He's at the beginning of world class. Just coming to this status. He'll need to impress against Andrade to ensure that status. He'll need many fights more to be a part of the elite. I'm sure he will be. He has all what it takes. He just needs time.
A-,has everything he needs, tall, rangy, southpaw, skills, speed, power, charisma, pretty entertaining.I might be a bit bias tough.Anyway you gotta stop with these threads man
He isn't that entertaining though. He could do more in that department, he's pretty cautious when he need not be.
He needs to do a better job at protecting his chin when he's throwing. The Andrade fight will probably help him get out of that habit, and I expect him to be able to make the adjustment.
Fogot about that, good chin also .He keeps the front hand kinda low but he knows what he is doing,he is no Froch
Im one of those who arent that impressed by Butes perfomances. I can see the dude has loads of talent and a good style, reach, power, workrate and all - but the way he has been fighting more or less decent opposition hasnt impressed me. Compared to Kessler who has won almost every round he has ever fought, (except the three against Mundine and the 7/8 in the JC fight) Bute hasnt shown me that hes elite or near the elite level yet. The Bika fight or the Berrio fight are good examples especially when he almost got outboxed against a limited slugger like Berrio. If Bute was elite he should have dominated Berrio from beginning to the end. The picture perfect and impressive KO made people forget that Bute actually was in trouble in the beginning of that fight. And Berrio isnt even top ten. With that said I do believe that Bute is top three at SMW. He seems to have loads of talent, busy hands, good stamina and a good style. But I really am looking forward to see him tested agaisnt the crude yet highly effective Andrade. This fight is a toss up for me atm.
That will be extremely hard to do. In all honesty, I don't think Bute will be able to have as an impressive win over Andrade as Kessler did. That was an very well fought match for Kessler, which led to his showdown (or sparring session) with Calzaghe. If Bute is able to stop Andrade then that will move him up a level, but I'd say he's a word class fighter being he's at the top of the Super Middleweight division. I still want to see a Bute/Froch though!
