Nothing special. I think he is 26 years old also, and W#rren seems to keep his prospects inactive for some strange reason. Watched both of his fights and he looks to keen to get the knockout, doesn't help with Naz hyping him up.
your right he is not that special, he done well to get the medal at the commonwealth games but he had to go through scotland to get there. i have also spoke to scottish team coaches that question his heart when the pressure is on.
He turned pro in December and has only fought once since then? Not good for any prospect and he doesn't exactly have time on his side. I saw his debut and wasn't really impressed but I don't know enough about him to make a judgement.
Looks as if he has a style more suited to the pros than the amatuers. He has always represented Scotland as far as I am aware- it is not as if he did a Tony Cascarino and just picked Scotland as it would be easier to get a spot in the team. As someone said above I have heard that he has pulled out of fights before when he is drawn against people who he doesn't believe he will beat. He has quite an impressive amatueur record and hasn't lost often but I've heard he was protective of his record.

he represented scotland because he couldn't get into the england set up. he always wanted to use scotland to try get onto the gb squad. ie he would be seen at tournaments that he couldn't get to by fighting in england and getting the chance to pick up medals
Well the fact he didn't get picked for England then isn't really that relevant as he did better than any other GB representative at the Commonwealth.
Callum is a very good and strong fighter,he is however in a division that is quite strong at present lead by Cleverly and Bellew
i agree he did well to win the commonwealth but the fact remains that he didn't enter the english championships and chose to come to scotland where it is easier to win the national title and get to fight for them. if he was good enough then entering the english championships should have the way. in a tournament it can all be down to the luck of the draw.
And he beat the **** out the top english lad at the time to go on and win his gold commonwealth medal:finger
From what i've seen. He doesn't look up to much. Leads with too many hooks and squares up a lot. He'll overwhelm the cannon fodder that'll be served up and then get found out by the first fighter who can stand up to him and take advantage of his flaws.
He's pretty handy... done a good number on a mate of mine in his first fight in the Commonwealth games... I think he'll do pretty well for himself.
I was very impressed with him the commonwealths but although he looked good in his debut, he had abandoned his peek a boo style which saw him win the Gold and instead adopted a low hands, up jab type of stance which puzzled me. He has good power and is very athletic, I reckon he can at least get to european level. I think he got stopped in a GB vs the world match up not that long ago and was supposedly out on his feet so maybe his chin isn't the best. Who trains him?
