A good breakdown. Hagler fought in the " amazing striped sock era " I wore that stuff in the 80's too. That Gazelle punch never really landed on anyone good, did it? If you miss with it, your getting countered big time. Hagler is pretty sneaky with that uppercut inside and good stringing his punches together. I pretty much agree, he liked to box early, and slug late. The trouble is if he didn't hurt/wear down his opponent by boxing early, he was often too late to slug which cost him vs. Leonard and made many of his matches closer than they should have been.
Very true, but that's not really saying all that much. Toney was a great fighter, but footwork was not one of his strengths.
