That's a question that not many people ask. How good is it? How does Canelo's chin hold up against a power shot from Andrade, Lemieux, Stevens & GGG? Who's the biggest punchers he faced? And how did he handle it? One thing I noticed with Canelo so far in his career that he hasn't faced a dangerous puncher yet. I guess the biggest puncher he's faced in James Kirland but that's not saying much. All of Canelo's opponents have been average fisted at best. Khan has pillow fists and same with Liam Smith, feather fists.
yeah I agree with Oscars careful matchmaking Canelos never had to face anyone that can touch him,now then when Mayweather fought him he had him at 152 and with a hydration clause which stopped him turning into the Incredible Hulk on the night and funny enough Floyds punches seemed to get Canelos attention and respect more than anyone. The problem is with Canelo is he always out weighs his opponents by 15-20 pounds which makes his contests uneven,crazy thing is at 160 he'll still out weigh his opponents but at least it will be more even,that said I reckon his chin is made of iron and he ought to be able to live with GGG?
Well you have to be fair, he was pretty young and inexperienced back then, every fighter has been down while young and inexperienced.
