my God lionel....i'm actually agreeing with you 100%. Casa was a MEAN mother****er to say the least. great cuban amateur, fantastic pro who suffered from fighting in one of the best 130-135 classes of all time. Skills of a slickster, power of a puncher who just had to fight some amazing fighters back to back

His longevity is quite impressive actually...Considering he was basically in his prime when he started out, 13 years and still holding on to world class status.

You don't think he took Jose lightly, took a training camp off and underperformed?

If it was a one off yeah...but he looked god awful against Pearson a year earlier. Not very convincing against a weight drained Corrales..And overall very average against Katsidas aswell, despite a great ending to the fight.

He put on a very commendable effort against Marquez it must be said..but he was well on the way out before that fight.

    Hey

    how about a Barrera/Casamayor fight?

that would be interesting and competitive for each fighter, also it will close the bad blood when Casa was talkn trash about Mab a few years back.

Does anyone know is he's going to fight anyone new? Or is he still going for Diaz?

Valero will knock Casa out. Casa was an amazing fighter in his prime but he's totally shot. Like Roy Jones shot.

Sadly, you may be right. Which does Joel's legacy no justice.

a totally shot casa would still be valeros' toughest test yet.

and i'd favor the seasoned and still crafty vet.

He used to be good very crafty fella i always like him, But now hes older and his reflexes and punch Resistance are slipping..He should be hanging them up pretty soon, But i think he will play a stepping stone for other young talent in the division but don't sleep on him he still may have something up his sleeve.
