The three guys you mentioned him going the distance with are light punchers (for heavyweight at least) and he wasn't particularly dominant in any of those fights. That being said Martin is completely unproven so must be an underdog coming in though I would not be surprised if he sprung the upset.

Hungrier, holds physical and power advantages over Glazkov, and a southpaw stance. If Glazkov is to win he's really going to have to put all together have a perfect performance here, I just don't see it happening.... He's lazy and stuck in a certain mode despite all of JDJ best efforts. Now I guess he's back with an old trainer, if anyone was going to undo his bad habits and mindset it was JDJ.

    Oh come on, dude.

Not half the puncher Briggs was/is but twice the boxer.

i thought glazkov was fighting the guy who cheap shotted jim mcmahon, costing the bears the '86 super bowl. turns out it is just some bum.

Is it my imagination or does Martin have below average handspeed for the division?

Timing can make up for a speed deficiency but timing usually comes from years and years of experience -- which Martin doesn't have.

he is a textbook fighter. takes his time uses the jab throws the left. he may be boring to some but hes a very intelligent fighter who waits for the right moment to get rid of his opponent

Good. Should be considered top 10-15 with his size, power and timing alone.

    :good

He's going to be a lightning rod for intense scrutiny and pooh-poohing given the circumstances of how a title shot landed in his lap without having beaten any ranked contenders, and of course the unsatisfactory outcome with Glazkov, but objectively speaking even if he doesn't yet deserve to be called a champ you have to be able to recognize that in today's HW division he is CLEARLY top 15 h2h, at least. :good

Nice. It's laughable how he won the belt, but the guy is good, people should give him that. Saw him some year ago on youtube when I searched for big prospects in different ABC rankings. Found exactly this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAucHqlSS2w

After first glance, he looked sloppy and rather weak compared to the other prospects in their ABC rankings.

But looked more into him and saw something, his power, size, stance and timing is very awkward for any fighter to face really.

Think he's gonna be like a modern version of Tony Thompson kinda guy.

I also think he would beat Wilder right now.
