Boxing_Master where have you been?! i been looking for programmer and pc_****yst:hi::hi:

TO answer, Martin is awful. He will lose when he steps up. It may be rumor but I hear Jakeoaree Harris is going to try his hands at boxing.

He is much better than Whyte. Glaskov was getting shut down. If not for the injury he would've been stopped anyway. I rate him above Scott Jennings, and Pulev, but below Ortiz, Haye, Wilder, and Fury.

inexperienced American bum who is rightfully cashing out his handout belt.

Joshua is low top 10 and he will knock him out within 6...

    levels.

    I don't even like Joshua...

I tend to agree with much of your assessment, particularly about the Glaskov fight. His GIFT in that fight was his knee injury, or else he was getting KTFO.
I also AGREE that with his size and power he's easily be too much for Malik Scott in spite of Scotts glaringly obvious advantages of speed, reach, and overall boxing ability. If old Tiger could catch him, if DelBoy could catch up to him, then surely a young big man like Martin would and finish him.
I also agree that he'd likely beat Jennings as well, though not by stoppage, atm.
Jennings is on a slippery slope right now, and is danger of fast becoming DelBoy 2.0......ie fringe level contender, borderline journeyman. He needs to rebuild ATM, and his signature win, Andrey Fedosov would also likely beat him in a rematch, that is ATM on this particular slide.

I only disagree with your take on Pulev.
Khan Kubrat is no Scott, Jennings, or GIFTKOV.

He's only showed the slightest dent in his armour vs the HWCoTW, Wladimir Klitschko and vs an ever powerful Travis Walker who caught him cold early and forced him to play it safe.

Ppl who say he went life and death with Thompson DKSAB. Rewatch the fight.

Neither fighter was particularly engaging during the first 4-5 rds and yeah, Thompson held his own for a period, but Pulev figured out the distance, and systematically picked the seasoned contender apart using excellent footwork and timing and a solid straight R hand to put Thompson into the defensive posture the remainder of the fight.

Ppl try to explain it away as gassing out, but Tiger never gasses. He simply has to shell up when that lead R hand starts finding a home b/c he wants to finish the fight on his feet and keep himself in the fight with his own L hand.

    Otherwise......good take.

Not very good. I appreciate the fact that he chose not to milk his belt and make the HW division suffer for too long.

Not his fault that Glazkov got injured obviously and honestly, Glazkov is probably only marginally better.

As a champion, awful. Taking on Joshua proves it. I'll assume Hearn has guaranteed him at least £1m and a ppv %, maybe 50%. He will get knocked out quicker than Whyte, a disgrace this bum has a belt.

    solid post and ****ysis
something i dont see on eastsideboxing to much
    i agree with your assesment
pulev IMO is a talented fighter.
keeps his hands to low / but he has genuine abilty

i thought he was timing glaskov with the straight left down the pipe and would have won wide.

but IMO pulev/wlad/fury /parker/joshua/ortiz /wilder / all big heavys all would figure out martin.

martin really does just have the straight left/
its a good shot and its also something other heavys do not come across in sparring.

martin does not jab /is very clumsy and off balance when he leads with a right hook /has a straight up chin exposed stance .
he is big and strong and a southpaw / but really he is a one trick pony.

joshua is inexperienced /makes mistakes/loads up to much /might be to hyper and tight in the fight and tire himself out /but he is talented /faster/can put his punches toghether well when he boxes within himself / is open to the straight left / but if he reads the straight left then the fight is going to be one sided .

the fight is not forgone / joshua was caught and hurt in the amatuers / but i think martin is a thudding type puncher and not an explosive one and after fighters take a few of them they usually are not that vunerable to the punch as fights wear on.

IMO pulev would have an easier time with martin than joshua who i think will be to eager in the first few rounds just as he was v whyte.

I don't blame Haymon for it at all. I'd do the same. Martin would not beat Spzilka

    I was at the fight

The injury robbed us of seeing what martin could do

Not that I really rate Glasgov but a clear win after a good performance could have went a long way

I will say he has a poor resume but he's handled the guys he's fought

I blame the orgs for ranking him not martin

He may be good enough to defend we don't really know much about him

Hard to say how good he is, he's just as inexperienced as Joshua, prior to the Glazkov fight his level of opposition was no better than Joshua's.

But from a technical stand point he has a ton of flaws, even more than Wilder. But sometimes a fighter is better than their flaws. Look at fighters like Fury and Froch, neither are particularly sound from a technical stand point and have flaws but they are damn effective no matter how ugly their style is.

I think that he is a premature champion in the sense of having worthy opponents but you never know, he might step up and his prove his championship mettle. I won't count him out.
