I just wish we see the explosive Jacobs that shocked Quillin every time out. He had an admirable boxing performance against Golovkin but he was negative in spells throughout the fight which cost him.
I know he's only 31 I think, but I wonder if we've seen 'peak Jacobs' already? Anyway this: Sounds right to me. He's very good, but maybe not in that very top echelon.
Gennady Golovkin is all you know about MWs so get back down to flea bottom scum. If I said Kingsley Ikeke to you , you'd say who?
Dildovelvet, BF24's perennial hater, has finally found a new fighter to despise. After Wlad retired he found himslef truly without purpose and drifting.
Arthur Abraham won the IBF belt against Kingsley Ikeke. He is what a real huge MW looks like , 6'4 with a 79 inch reach. Jacobs is an average sized MW. This content is protected
He's a good middleweight, top 5 right now but compared to the middleweights from the late 80s and 90s he looks bang average.
All I know is he's nowhere near GGG's level in terms of core ability. Look at the facts in the Golovkin fight. Jacobs had huge advantages being taller, rangier and in his prime against an ageing champion. He also piled on far more weight after the weigh in, so had sheer mass as well. Then the home crowd advantage. Possibly PEDs. What advantage didn't he have? Algieri's hipster cooking maybe? And he still got comfortably beaten up. Smaller Canelo had more success.
I’ve never really cared for Jacobs. Just find it hard to like anyone associated with Curtis Stevens, which Jacobs is through his trainer, Andre Rozier, who is also Stevens’s uncle. I do appreciate Jacobs stepping to Jermall and pulling his punk card. Funny how Jermall wanted to hurt Gervonta and Broner, but has been quiet as a church mouse pissin’ on cotton when it comes to Jacobs.
