A-. I think he's bordering on elite, there are just a few fragile areas that prevent him being quite there.
The guy is pretty good, I'd say he is borderline elite also. If he can fix some negative aspects of his style (i.e. taking a rest in certain rounds) he can be even better and more effective.
I think Dawson is a very good fighter. He proved that against Tarver. But, the Glen Johnson fight just keeps entering my mind.
I think he's a solid B+ at the moment but he certainly has the potential to be an 'A' calibre fighter.
Dawson is only 26 so he has plenty of time to crack the elite level, he whipped Tarver and almost shut him out on the cards, nobody has ever done that before:deal i would love to see him fight the Calzaghe Jones winner:good but DAwson has a very bright future in boxing as long as he stays focused..
He is very good and headding for greater things... He reminds me a bit of when Mike Moorer started to arrive on the elite light heavyweight scene, he created a buzz.. He may be the man when all the dust settles...
