Spot on imo. He has improved and British middleweight champion is no easy spot to gain. I think if he keeps showing improvement, gets the rounds in, and keeps training hard there is no reason why he couldn’t challenge for world honours in the distant future. Definitely one to keep an eye on. Beating the likes of Cullen, Welborn etc is no easy task.
How good is he? One of British boxings best kept secrets and good enough to become world champion. Along with Buatsi and Joe Cordina he's Matchrooms most talented fighter, but has zero profile, and unfortunately has not had the promotional push which his talent deserves. There's a number of reasons for this. He has had very bad luck with injuries, mainly persistent hand injuries which have held him back a bit. The other is that sadly he's not much of a talker, does little to promote himself and is far from the best in front of camera. He can be a bit awkward to interview. He's got every attribute though, a great fighter who's massively underrated. I've followed his career for quite a while but it was the David Bentley win which really showed how good he is- brilliant speed, accuracy, and of course power. He's got very good feet, and is a smart boxer, with top level power as well as strength and size. He's also a really fresh 28, not too many fights or miles on him. No reason why he can't win a world title with a bit of luck. He would beat Liam Williams, and I would probably back him to beat this version of Eubank Jnr too. The car accident his family suffered is truly tragic and stopped him from fighting again this year, hope to see him back in 2022.
He looks like he has all the tools however needs to be more active. Ideally needs a decent profile fight to act as his "coming out party" then kick on from there
