We have only seen Floyd's chin tested on 4-5 occassions. I believe the Mosley fight proved he could stand up to a hard punch from anybody in the WW division and take it...

I believe that round 2 of Mayweather-Mosley actually proved Floyd's chin strong...But than you got fans saying it showed his chin is glass...:huh

We have discussed it at my boxing gym inside and out...Everyone at my gym, feels floyd's chin is now tested and certified.

    Thoughts??

Good at making him back to the ropes or lose his legs.

Apparently pac hits harder than mosley. So I say let Pac hit floyd as many times as he can. Then i will tell you after the fight.

Floyd's chin is like what Roy's was in his prime. Hard to evaluate because he hardly ever gets cracked with a big, flush shot.

It's good enough because it's too hard to land consecutively to put him down. And the shot that he took from Mosley appeared to be a very hard shot, and Mayweather managed to make it through alright.

I don't know if I would say that he needs to be tested for metal like Angulo though.

He has hardly taken any solid shots in his life but the occasional few which have slipped through, he's looked solid

Floyd's chin isn't good, his defense is.

Admittedly, I have seen a very low percentage of Floyd's fights over the years, but of those I have seen I only remember seeing him hurt maybe 4 times. I thought he was stunned a bit after he got caught with a left hook by Diego Corrales, Judah stunned him as well, and he was hurt badly multiple times in the span of a single round against both Corley and Mosley... all of fighters have good pop so I'm not sure you can say Floyd's chin is 'weak' after being hurt by those guys.

To really get a good sense of how good or bad his chin is we'd have to see Mayweather in a real back and forth battle, but I'm not sure we're ever going to get that out of Floyd.

It was good enough to take a flush shot against mosley.

I remember cotto taking a similar shot in round 3 against mosley and he was shaken. But the one mosley did against floyd landed more flush.

I think its good. He recovered pretty well from the 2 Mosley shots in the second, and came forward for most of the fight seemingly without worrying much about SSM's power. Sure he was hurt, but recovered quicker than most IMO

    .....

    His legs gave out.
    His chin is completely suspect.

I saw MIGUEL COTTO take 100 of those right hands and stay up.
    Miguel cotto.....

Stop being a floyd lover for 10 seconds and be rational.

That was more off balance than anything, floyd has taken harder shots than that and has stayed up.

But it should have been scored a knockdown.
