He has fast hands with big punching power, however he has not yet been tested. He has his hands very low and he cant afford to do this with the top guys in the division such as Chris John, Robert Guerrero, and Jorge Linares. If he was to fight for a Title I think he would fight for the WBO version as Steven Luevano is a lower class for the rest of the divisions Title holders.
He has all the tools to become a great champion. He seems a bit erratic at times and he needs to work on his defense alot.Other than that i see him being a world champ by the end of next year.BTW anyone knows when his next fight is?
i think he is real good. he is one of my favorite fighters. his defense is a little bit questionable because how he leaves himself open, but some ppl r better w/ their hands low so they can counter and not just let their gloves block
i think he is pretty special as far as his offense goes but he needs to tighten up that D when he fights better comp or he may bite it if his chin isnt granite
Rico Spadafora loves men. Gamboa is the next big thing. That's right, I'm calling it ahead of time at the risk of it coming back to bite me in the ass. I just see a world of potential with this guy. Problem is he'll have a relatively short prime due to his already advanced age, probably why they're moving him along so quickly, though he's responded very well so far.
You don't worry about his low hands too much? Think he's got the speed/offence to pull that off with maximum affect?
He has tremendous athletic ability, great skills, but is too confident, overrated and a KO waiting to happen
your apprehensions are quite correct McGrain, he will be the next big hype train to get KTFO. Lets ask ourselves aloud "Who is Darling Jimenez?"
