I think Gary Lockett has a lot to do with that, seems like a good trainer.

Rees is a good little fighter, he would give any lightweight in Britain a hard nights work, him v Crolla or Murray would be a great fight imo.

Such an underrated fighter, most of the fights i've seen him in have been good fights (Mathews aside) it's a shame he doesn't get the support he deserves. Think it's a toss up between him and Burns

His whole attitude/lifestyle and approach has greatly improved, and he's far more dedicated these last couple of years than he's ever been (even when he held a world title).
Gary Lockett - a superb trainer - and Renzo Algieri are doing a great job with Gavin.

How come he didnt take the Crolla fight then??? :good

Crolla & Mitchell both beat Rees IMO

Burns beats em all at this moment in time comfortably.

Do you ever post on anything apart from Gallagher and Crolla threads? :good

    Rees/Crolla is 50/50 IMO.

Haha Yes, check my posts :good

Yeah Crolla Rees is close but i just feel Ant is fitter (no homo) younger, and hungrier and would be in his face for 12 rounds if needed. Late Stoppage or UD for me. But a close fight nontheless and 1 which should be made.

Aye, Rees is a good, solid fighter. He would beat all in the UK other than Burns who would be a terrible matchup for him.

I don't think Rees will win another 'world' title, but could certainly clean up Europe.

Not avoid him completely , its too good a fight not to happen but say if Paulus Moses managed to get another title shot assuming Rios moves up as he has problems making the weight the belt would become vacant leaving it for Rees - Moses which in my opinion would be a winnable fight for Rees, should he win then go after a unification with Burns which would be a massive fight in Scotland and a better pay check for both fighters and would push Burns' stock up enough to get a bigger fight for him

Im welsh so i have a bit of a soft spot for welsh fighters but I call them how I see them, would rather Rees go out on a high with some money in the bank than some flimsy paycheck

I like Rees, it'd be a good fight with Burns as he is a really unusual fighter in style and stature.

Rees is a lot better than that midget Evensen.

Rees is really good, underrated. he's one of those fighters people love watching and holds alot of respect from boxing fans because of the way he fights, bit like john simpson in that respect. Rees tends to gas out tho, dnt know if its a training thing or because of his all action style. i think a ''well prepared'' Rees beats them all in britian bar ricky burns. he even beats a ''well prepared'' kevin mitchell, if there is such a thing.

    Most under-rated fighter in Britain.

It would be a good fight but Burns knows when to attack and when to cover up, I doubt he has enough power to put Rees down so its likely to go to the scorecards, 116-112 type decision
