How Good Is George Peterson (Paul Williams Trainer)

He sucks. Then again he can't be much worse than his fighter.

I have never heard a trainer or a fighter talking **** before a fight.

This nicca is revolutionary!

 

Honestly except his work with Williams I can't think of a fighter he trained.

So I'm gonna say terrible.

To be honest, I don't know enough about him yet. He's obviously doin' a hell of a job with Paul...So far..

However, I totally disagree with the Y-Town comments. For one, as far as I know Pav only trained out of Y-Town for one fight, and was not comfortable with it at all..(If I'm not mistaken, it was for the Zuniga fight).

BUT, when has Team Pav ever made an excuse about training in Y-Town? Had he said something about bein' sick or whatever (which Pavlik didn't do either, Thomas Hauser..a very respectable journalist/author..is the one to put out the news of Pav bein' sick).

 

Ahh man, you make very good posts, I always take the time to read them, but that's not a good way to judge the man.

 

I don't know he was given maybe the most physically freakish boxing specimen out there to train and has no other notable fighters so it's hard to say he's anything special as a trainer.

We'll have to see how PW approaches Pav. If he comes out and fights the way they are currently talking, I'd have to put Peterson in the ****** category. If they demonstrate the ability to formulate and implement a good plan, that's another story. So far everything I've seen and heard leans toward ******.

 

Awfully hard to judge a trainer based on one fighter. I can't even find who else he trains on google.

 

He doesn't even know.

 

He taught him how to have a good reach and be tall....I'd say that's pretty good....jking

Obviously he's done well with Williams so definitely ^ average ...maybe great???
