I was watching the trailer for Hero, Traitor, Madness and it showed clips of people saying he had 'the best footwork since Ali' etc. and I have noticed he has a lot of hype. but I also heard he nearly got KOed in sparring, so how good is he?
Hopefully we will soon find out. But since he turn pro nothing has really made me feel that he is great.
No..? Beating Cordoba to win an interim World Title in his seventh pro fight and knocking out the European Champion in the 1st round away from home in his first defence doesn't impress you?
Great amateur career. I hope he carries it in the pros. Although he beat Cordoba, I still want him to have more exposure before we judge him as elite, as some guys sees him here in ESB.
It wasn't "someone" it was Ronnie Shields. Take a look at the resume on that man and try to imagine how many boxers he's seen. Likewise, Freddie Roach said Rigondeaux had more talent that Pacquiao. The reaction Rigo gets from other boxers is amazing. They can't believe his skill set.
He's pretty good, but tremendously overrated here. He's done nothing of note as a pro, though Cordoba was a much better win than many people realize, even though he struggled and stunk it out a bit.
That is fair enough, I've began watching some of his fights starting from his debut and he does have some serious skills. Although, I have to take into consideration the quality of his opponents. This Giovanni Andrade guy thinks he's Floyd Mayweather or something, I don't know what the **** he is doing
