He's very, very good, in my opinion. I would love to see a rematch with Montiel, although I think Montiel may be better. Anyway, I don't think that 4th round KO properly represented their skill levels or Hasegawa's chin. He just got caught, that's all. That could happen to anyone.
Well, like i said. His world will get rocked once he meets a dynamic puncher. What i mean by that is someone who can not only crack but is quick on the trigger and catch you unawares.Burgos is a typical tall slow mexican boxer with thudding pop but you can see his punches.Hase saw the punches coming and slip them or used his superb head and body movemet, he has good footwork to defuse any of those SLOW clubbing bombs. :good
Hasegawi is class. A very good fighter and entertaining to watch. He was fighting very well against the best version of Montiel (probably the most underrated fighter in boxing) till he got stopped. Its just too bad he only fights in Japan.
I don't know, he took a few solid shots including a massive uppercut in the 7th from a much bigger guy and seemed fine.
He's an excellent fighter, and he was clearly ahead in the Montiel fight until he got caught. On his chin, it looked okay to me against Burgos. Burgos hit him with a massive uppercut, and although it rocked him a little bit and threw him off balance, it didn't seem to affect him a great deal. I love the way he fights, though, always aggressive and exciting to watch.
Haaaaaaassegawa! One of my favorite fighters. Got the name, the looks(no h--o), the skills, and incredible power. The guy is legit. I think he could beat Montiel if they fought again as do many others. Huge in Japan. And respected by many fans like me.
