How good is Hrgovic?

I think its been said before in this thread but Hunter would have been closer to a title shot if he had beaten Poventkin
Now i dont think he would be much closer if he had beaten Flip

Rankings are unfortunately nonsense in boxing and can be manipulated at any time to suit a boxer, a promotion or the organisation itself

 

Rankings aren’t nonsense because in most sanctions the top 3 get you a shot not the best promotion,where is that ever happening ? Hrgovic was ranked over Povetkin in some bodies bf the Povetkin fight ? Coming off loses and being out ranked in a rotation of sanctioning bodies get you nearer ? Come on now.

Even in the WBC craziness , Hrgovic isover Povetkin ,not that it means much there.

Because Povetkin is much, much more well known. He’s had a very good pro career and casual fans know who he is. Hrgovic isn’t known at all at the moment. Beating a well known fighter and boosting your popularity makes you a more appealing option for a champion to fight than beating some guy with less than 10 wins. This isn’t complicated

 

I don't know what he doesn't understand about this. It's not a controversial or complicated point. Beating Hrgovic does about as much for getting him a title shot as beating Bakole.

 

Hrgovic should fight Usyk - he's undersized and over hyped.

 

Id quite like to see that fight if im honest
