Well, he looks a bit like Vitali... crossed with Sean William Scott.

still think Dubois is a glass cannon? Looked quite durable tonight.

Come on. He looks like a pudgier, slower, less skilled, not as mean Vitali.

OK, now that the dust has settled a bit, here are my thoughts:

I think skills-wise Hrgovic is reasonably good. Not brilliant, and not really that imaginative, but if you let him fight his fight at his preferred range then he's probably going to beat you. But when you fight with zero urgency and seem to be sleep-walking in the ring then what hope have you if things don't start going your way, or you get hurt and have to dig deep? Hrgovic is the type of fighter who might get hurt, or cut or find himself down on points for whatever reason and just shrug and go through the motions until he's either stopped or the fight runs its course. I kinda felt that way before his loss, but couldn't quite put my finger on it, but it's like he has no ambition or desire to go anywhere. He's about the most apathetic top HW I've seen since Odlanier Solis, and even Solis seemed to have a bit more urgency than this dude.

I would place Hrgovic on the same level as Wallin, Bakole, Sanchez, etc. He was disappointing, he is not explosive and his punches were too soft to threaten the physically superior Dubois, I doubt that he has room for improvement, I am afraid that in the worst case he will end up like Yoka.. .

I don't think he's that bad, he did win a close fight against Zhang and I don't think Wallin, Bakole, Sanchez or Yoka do that.

I agree he has no room for improvement. With most prospects who end up being top level fighters you can see progression in their game, even someone like Joyce showed improvements and a bit more versatility when he beat Jennings and Dubois, but Hrgovic for me, just like Yoka, showed literally zero improvement in any area at all. He's already hit his ceiling for me and I don't see him getting better at 32 when he's shown so little desire during his career.

Though I knew he was always overhyped ab initio, buh I was shocked at his body language during the fight, like he was praying for the fight to get stopped, he literally quit!

What You talking about... End like Yoka? Yoka done nothing in pros. NOTHING.
Hrgovic done much better even now. You see Yoka beat in close fight Zhang? Come on. Hrgovic whatever You think of him right now and how bad You are disaponted win his first battle.
Yes he lost to Dubois but he look good in first rounds and he was headbut 20 x....

Still I dont see Filip lost to dude like Takam.
    And still he can improve.

Imo he still got better atributes than Dubois to be top contender. He just need wake up. Work harder, improve level to get good expirience and for sure hire good strenght and condition trainer.

There is imo still possibile that this lesson can make Filip better. Time show but for sure he got great atributes. He just cant sit on ass thinking he is the best.
I dont know how he learn from that. He can get depresion and end carrer but for sure he can improve. He is in top 10 still. He got blessing from Turki. He is still quiet Young.

I still cross finger for him. Stamina, explosion, dinamic and expirience. All can be fixed.

Yeah, he's more like on the level of a Makhmudov (that would be a good fight BTW).

Hrgy was always a bit of an unknown to me. Always heard about him, but never saw much tape. He showed solid boxing skills
but nothing that looked exceptional. Lack of exposure to quality opposition cost him, as he seemed lost after hitting Dubois with his best shot for 5 rounds.

No, he is levels above Makhmudov, who has no skills or ring IQ whatsoever. Hrgovic beat Zhang, and Makhmudov wouldn't last 2 rounds against Chinese giant

Beats Sanchez and Makhmudov, a large part of Makhmudov’s hype was due to him looking scary imo, not sure if he beats Kabayel, and definitely not the rest.

You're being too hard on your countryman (I'm inferring based on your handle).

He defeated Zhang, and while he has his weaknesses, Zhang is a huge lump who can deliver and take a big punch. Yes, this is triangle, but it often has meaning: Zhang stopped Joyce 2X, Joyce stopped DD. Filip was the betting fav vs. DD and Filip was beating Dubois until that nasty cut(s). Which may partially occurred, or became worse, from DD headbutts. It's not ballet in there.

Now Dubios is all the rage  Vs. AJ the current betting odds favor AJ, but not as if DD is a big long shot.
Filip would be competitive or defeat nearly all top 10 HWs. Seems his biggest issue is mental, almost like he doesn't care at times.
