Angulo knocked him down with one punch. He didn't even need setup punches, so he would probably say that his chin isn't very good. He would tell you, however, that Kirkland's heart and ability to recover are very good.
gets rocked easily. a square on, foreword moving, aggressive, southpaw would lead to always being in harms way. i don't think it matters too much, he has shown recuperative powers and unbelievable will. but he doesn't learn or adapt just runs harder at the brick wall. and with stamina problems and a tough corner he is going to get hurt badly i think in his career. i mean the way he gives no respect to his sparring partners is just diabolical but understandable. it's just that he doesn't learn and create new goals. ishida was just 1-2-1...and he couldn't get out of the way of it. he saw the right come caught it and charges in and runs straight into a jab which has him out on his feet. then does it again less than a minute later. the warning lights where blaring to readjust. he ignored them and got derailed for a time. he has a average chin coupled with so many defensive flaws he will get sparked by a sharp right hand one day out of nowhere.
Good brake up. A lot of the so called glass jawed fighters have average chins and terrible defense. I think that is even Khan case. As for Kirkland I don't think he was really physically prepared for the Ishida fight. His career seems to over though. I don't know who gave him the idea to screw GBP but it was stupid.
