everbody is hyping josesito like the "new star", although he was behind on scorecards vs ortiz and probably will receive a ass wupping from much bigger canelo.

what is with the technical well rounded boxer who beat him last year?

he got like 20 fights and they should start step up the competition, does he has a chance vs ortiz, berto, brook, let alone pacquiao (who obviously is way out his prime) and floyd?

what is your stand on him, will he be very good or just an 'okay' boxer.

I think he's decent. Let's hope he doesn't get over hyped like all these other untested fighters.

He will be a world champion for sure.
(That don't hold as much weight as it used to)

Some good fights out there for him.
For one I'd like to see Vargas Vs. Thurman.
I think Jesse can KO Thurman, if not soundly beat him.

yeah, sadly he doesnt has world class power. but look at floyd, he wins mostly by frustrating opponents. vargas is technicly very sound at his age. maybe he can impove his punching power, although its obvious he wont never be a heavy hitter.

well first of all Josesito whoopped Vargas. Don't go by boxrec. if you saw that fight and had Vargas winning you must have been related to him

I think Vargas did enough to eek it out in the end. He won it in the last few rounds

He's meh on the world stage. A really good Domestic level fighter but not important in the grand scheme of things. Bradley, Alexander, Mayweather, Berto, Maidana, Pacquiao, Jones, Brook, Ortiz(if his jaw holds up), and Malignaggi all beat him in my opinion. He does beat Khan at this point in my opinion though, but that's more of Khan winning and getting clipped than it is him bringing the fight to Khan.

i don't think josesito deserves all the hype and now that he thinks he's a superstar with that fake belt. he would lose to a rematch with ortiz he knows he got lucky.

Vargas is an alright fighter and has fought decent fighters.

Decent. Got some skills. Doesn't look like a legit championship level guy though.

He is average. I do think that he beat Lopez though. I had it 95-94 I believe. Lopez messed up in that last round and let Vargas out work him. I could see him being a world champion under Top Rank.
