jmm is easily pac's equal if not the better fighter. the big difference is pac is the better known fighter for beating the more popular fighters, so the more ignorant, casual boxing fan that only watches boxing from time to time will base their opinions on one or 2 fights. also the media doesn't help much with the overhypping of fighters esp when they are "undefeated":D

lol its not that simple, Pac besides the h2h has accomplished more than JMM.

    Pac destroyed MAB
    JMM never fought Erik
Hes not a 6 div champ
Hes not a 4 Div Lineal champ

JMM is Pacs foil no doubt just like Benitez is to Duran

The Pacquiao that Marquez fought is not the Pacquiao of today. Marquez would lose if they fight a 3rd time. Pacquiao has improved tremendously and is a more accomplished fighter than Marquez.

jmm=benitez:lol:. nice comparison, but just like erik was alittle past it when he beat pac, he was still considered one of the best in his division just like casamayor was. barrera even though he lost clearly in the rematch to pacman he did make a better account of himself as he did vs. jmm, but also lost clearly. erik never fought jmm because to jmm's credit he did refuse to fight him as did hamed. you are right, jmm does not have as many belts as manny, the names like oscar and hatton are not in jmm's, but the quality i think is not too far apart. i don't want to jump to any conclusions just yet, but jmm looked superb at 135 so i don't expect less at 140. he's always in shape and when he's caught in the eye of the storm, he stays patient. i think their fights are more comparable to the ali-frazier or barrera-morales battles, very evenly matched

A Sugar Ray Leonard to Roberto Duran analogy would be more appropriate.

    dude,

you become great based on your achievements, whom you beat. Not based on situations of a particular moment of the fight..

yes, you could say..wow! jmm had a great counter punch during round x when he fought boxer y!

you look at the OVER ALL ACHIEVEMENT...not on certain moments of good counter punching!

    to elaborate JMM achievement..

yes, jmm beat ULTRA PRIME CASA at 37! and Juan DIAZ! need i say more?! Oh yes, MAB during the twilight years of MAB
