I've always liked the look of this guy. He's quite a cool looking guy who speaks well. I won't know as much about him as some of you American members. He reminds me of that bad guy from The Karate Kid films.
I thought he was a good fit (trainer) for some boxers. He was calm, cool, and collected in the corner when providing advice. I cannot ever recall hearing him give someone useless advise like say Floyd Mayweather Sr. Remember when Sr. gave ODLH this advice in one of his fights, "Brrrrrrb.....Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrb..............Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrb!"?
great all rounder. think why he doesnt get too much attention is that he is not dogmatic in his approach to fit a fighter to the style he likes. Abel Sanchez, Beristain, Ingle, Steward, Mayweather trio have so many traits that they see as necessity. but joe dressing like he is on his yearly Floridian swingers cruise every fight is proper jarring. sometimes you sort of want to go...could they not at least found an hawaian shirt that matched his fighters trunks? but on the performance on his job. always found he is a relaxed and positive reinforcing personality while also strong in his knoweldge and prep. always finds positives in his charge, finds spots his next opponent has, dedicates time to making those oppertunities last longer. corrales vs casamyor I and II. he is unbeaten. but those ones who need spark and a catalyst to get the motivated. he doesnt have that and thats beyond fine. though being part of the goosen clan does sort of make him seem like 'job for the boys'. especially when a promoter, manager and trainer for a fighter are all different people...but all eat at the same breakfast table.
