Lol, Hennessey wanted to sell his show as two WBC title fights In one show while only Wittter's was a real title fight, Murray's was that youth belt. He thinks anything WBC is legit.:patsch

Don't think he could make the weight anymore as he was a big super featherweight and now campaigns at his natural weight, lightweight.

Dunky, if it was down to Murray he would have been fighting Thaxton already - a bout he's asked for and asked for. Sky even made the effort to hype it but it never happened.

I heard - and I'm not 100% if it's true - that one of the Ingles is Hennessy's matchmaker. IF the Ingles have power over at Hennessy Sports, then Thaxton is going to get the big fights not Murray.

Was disappointed when Meager was made mandatory challenger for Thaxtons British Title but now that Khan has vacated the Commonwealth and Thaxton is the mandatory it would be great if Murray could fight him for that one.

Think John Ingle is Hennessy's matchmaker.

hmm. Interesting. Thanks for the info tiger. Thaxton v Murry would be the equivalent of Johanneson v Mitchell, i.e a fight that would tell us if Murray was the real deal or not.

I just got the impression Murray doesnt want tough fights, I hope he proves me wrong.

    Gutted that Fewkes bottled it.

I think Fewkes **** himself - literally. What with having gastroentiritis, an unpleasant stomach ailment.

Hopefully Murray gets this Colombian out of the way, Felix Lora. Looks a tough one as Lora pushed Devon Alexander close. There was only one round in it on 2 cards and it was in Alexander's home turf.

Murray's a humble, down-to-earth guy, not a braggart or anything. He was full of praise for Fewkes' skills a few weeks ago but he thinks Thaxton is overrated because he's known for cutting Hatton in a fight that he appeared to lose most of the rounds.

Think Murray and his trainer are aiming for Thaxton-Meager II winner (British) and Melero Diaz-Zoff winner (vacant European, I believe). Great fights these, especially as the 2 Euro guys both gave Romanov hell. If down the line Murray could go better than Romanov that would look brilliant. Though Melero and Zoff are very awkward.

Shame about the Fewkes fight. This was going to be one hell of a fight. I'll bet we would have seen lots of 2 way skills, action and drama.

It would only test Murray's chin, Thaxton Is very shot and can barely reach In with his punches properly.

He's just a dancing punching bag now.

He's always been a lunger though. If Murray could properly knock him down, and stop him it would be good.

I hope Thaxton loses to Meager - it's a possibility - because if not, Jono will hog the British title AND the Euro title shot that Romanov leaves behind.

Heard a rumour it's Al Hamidi for Murray now. It's clearly not his day.
