How Good Is Joshua Clottey as a Fighter?

    * Never been knocked out

    * Very big for a welterweight

    Losses:

    1. Disqualified against Carlos Baldomir in a fight Clottey was winning

    2. Lost to Antonio Margarito after he damaged one or both of his hands

    3. Lost to Miguel Cotto via split decision in a fight some felt Clottey won; knocked down in the first round. Fight in Cotto-friendly New York City

    The case could be made that Clottey would be unbeaten if he had not hurt his hands against Margarito and had not fought Cotto in New York City.

    What's your take? How good is Joshua Clottey as a fighter? Is he the best available opponent for Manny Pacquiao?

    Clottey is a lot like Winky Wright.
    Tough ass dude with limited power and super defense.
    Hard to beat.

    The best WW available. I say that because Mosley/Berto fight is happening. I might favor Clottey over Berto and I do think Clottey is much more dangerous of an opponent than Berto. However, Mosley is better and more dangerous of a opponent than Clottey. So there's your answer.

    He is the best WW that Pac can face outside of PBF right now. Berto and Mosley is out of the question since their fight is coming soon.

    If I have to rank WW...

    1. PBF
    2. Pac
    3. Mosley
    4. Cotto
    5. Clottey
    6. Berto

    Margarito has been out for a year so I have to see how good he is after his first fight. At best he is #4 on my list.

    Tough fight, 3 in a row,2 of his 3 were peice of cake,he was banged up in his last fight.So really it's back-to-back killers for Manny.And Pac has not gotten much rest to recover and Floy wanna suck his blood out? **** that.He needs his blood.I see this is really going to be difficult fight for PAC.Manny is providing the fans what they want and came to see each time, everytime.Exciting fights .

    Why is PBF above mosley or pac at WW?
    he has beat no one on the list under him, that is crazy.

    He's a VERY good fighter who gave Cotto all he could handle and was beating Margo's ASS before his hands got hurt or whatever. This is a very tough fight for Pac because this guy has great defense and never quits. If we're being real, PBF beats Clottey just like Pac should, but Clottey is a very good fighter and a tough guy and Pac should get credit for fighting him instead of a clown like Paulie Mallignigingnnnini.

    Some people are so blindly in love with floyd that they have no idea about how good other boxers actually are.
    He convinced them all that the rest of the boxers in the sport are garbage.
    I would hate to think Floyd is the best thing going in WW, I would stop watching boxing at that point.
