That kid is 22 years old, Is a champion at strawweight while having a record of 7-0, he knocked out some undefeated thai earlier this year for the wbc belt with a bodyshot. His amateur record is 95-10 but thats basically all I know since I dont watch strawweight normally, is he a prospect to watch or just some guy that got lucky? he is defending his title in a few days.
Hard to say because of the limited footage vs. top opposition (the Oleydong fight which he won bigtime yet in overall minutes he won less than the opponent). Very fast, powerful and accurate, a little lack of experience shows in coordination, defensive moves, footwork etc. We'll know better after the Hernandez fight which is a solid first defense. Again, 1 top fight is very little to predict upon but he looked very promising so here's hoping for a good career.
another japanese dude, shuhei tsuchiya, on the same card for ioka's 1st title defense. shuhei is 10W-0L-10KO's fighting against hirohito fukuhara. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=047wdr8pZXw[/ame]
